How is GenMove different from other dance programs?

​

GenMove is a 10-week dance mentorship program offered each Fall and Spring combining weekly dance classes, scripture study, and strengthening a foundational life skill (such as time management, stewardship, integrity, etc.). Our goal is not to win trophies or competitions but to build strength, character, and identity.

Does my daughter need previous dance training?

​

No.

​

 

How much does GenMove cost and what is included? 

​

The fee for each 10-week season is $285 and includes dance conditioning and a choreographed routine (including but not limited to, contemporary dance, jazz, and hip hop), scripture study, and character development. Dancers will receive a t-shirt to be worn each week, a journal, and weekly dinner table topics.  At the end of each season a family member is invited to join a fun family dance class and attend the end of season showcase

When/Where does GenMove meet?

​

When: Once a week on Monday nights. Classes are grouped by grade.

            GenMove Jr.  4:30 - 6:00pm (6th - 8th grade) 

            GenMove Sr. 7:00 - 8:30pm (9th - 12th grade)

 

Where: 284-A Rocky Creek Rd. Greenville, SC (inside Bungee Workout Fitness)

How many seasons can I join?

​

Each season with GenMove is a unique experience designed to build on the previous season but can also stand alone. This allows you to take one season or continue with the program every Fall & Spring.

Does GenMove have recitals or performances?

​

A showcase will be held at the end of each 10-week program as well as a fun family dance class!

​

 

Is it ok to take other dance classes while I’m a student of GenMove?

​

Of course! We have many friends in our local dance community.

If you can fit more dance into your schedule, go for it!

What does GenMove believe?

​

We believe the written word of God is living, active, and a dependable map for life. We believe Jesus is the Savior and a life submitted to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit produces true freedom and joy. We honor parents as the leaders of their homes and provide dinner table topics for discussion on each scripture and life skill we study.
